CANBERRA COMMUNITY CARE

We, as a team, work with others in our society who believe we need to love our neighbour and serve those in need, as a natural  expression of our love and desire to serve God.

We have a longstanding commitment to social responsibility, and aim to honour, celebrate and support individuals in our society.    We’re dedicated to seeing lives touched by the consequences of poverty and ill health — mended.

The services of Canberra Community Care currently include emergency food packages, clothing assistance, budget counselling, family support and referrals, as well as Slipstream, our Child Development Program.

We aim to support other ministries, and have provided clothing to other local organizations, such as Mission Heart, Oasis Care and Amos.  We are also working internationally, sending a bale of clothes overseas each month.

As a non-profit organization we serve as a central source of information, referral & support to people of all ages in our community

Our Purpose Is to respond to the call of Jesus, to minister to the suffering and needy in our community, sharing with them God’s gifts of food, clothing, economic help and hope………basically to care for our community!

We exist to address the basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing for families and individuals in crisis.

Whilst most of our clients are not homeless, the constant threat overshadows their lives.

We aim to express our faith in caring for the poor, the homeless and those who do not have access to the abundant resources possessed by our society.
