KIDS Vision Statement Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 1Timothy 4:12-13 Children's ministry is a very important area of the church; our vision is to see children who are spiritual warriors for Christ. As it says in Timothy 4:12-13; don't let people look down on you because you are too young to be an example. It also says to read the Bible and to be taught. This is God's vision to make spiritual warriors by:- • Building children who are passionate about God. We want children to be passionate about God. We do this by having strong passionate leaders who want to serve God. By being passionate role models, children will also start being passionate for God. Also, the kid's programmes we run are always about being passionate for God in some way. • Teaching children to understand discipline and boundaries. Having rules and boundaries teaches children discipline. When these rules and boundaries are kept they are rewarded and encouraged to show how important discipline is in everyday life. • Encouraging children to bring their unsaved friends. We have kid's programmes that children can feel they can bring their unsaved friends along to. We encourage children to bring their unsaved friends and when they do they are rewarded. Children can be happy to bring their friends along to our programmes which are up to date, fun, non-confronting, happy and have a safe environment. • Building up the next generation of leaders. These children are the next generation of leaders. We need to make sure that their foundations are strong which means encouraging children to read their Bible and to pray daily. We want to teach older children about God's gifts of the spirit. • Empowering the children. We want to show children that they can make a difference in people's lives by being like Jesus. We want them to know the Bible verse 1Timothy 4:12-13 so they know even though they are young they are important and can make a difference. • Showing them how to be disciples for God. We want children to be like the disciples by talking to unsaved friends at school about God. We want them to be encouraged and to feel confident enough to step out of their comfort zone.
